Global demand for long chain omega-3s (EPA & DHA) is growing rapidly due to the numerous health benefits for both humans and animals. However, the supply of long chain omega 3s from wild caught fish is essentially flat as we reach the carrying capacity of sustainably managed fisheries. Microalgae is the original source of long chain omega-3s. Companies are addressing the growing supply constraint by bringing sustainable sources of algae-based omega 3s to both feed and food markets.
