Diane Shanahan has a broad range of regulatory affairs experience with issues in the biotechnology industry for over 20 years. Ms. Shanahan is currently the Director of Regulatory Affairs for BASF Enzymes LLC overseeing a number of activities related to enzyme product approvals for use in food, feed and technical applications. Ms. Shanahan has co-authored several enzyme safety papers and regulatory-related publications. She has experience in preparing regulatory submissions for microbial enzyme products and plant biotech products in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. Ms. Shanahan is the Vice-Chair of the Enzyme Technical Association (ETA) and has been Co-Chair of the ETA Food Committee since 2001. She has also been an active member in other food, feed, and biotechnology trade associations.
